Paris2Tokyo is a travel platform: search and book flights, hotels, car hire, airport transfers and things to do worldwide — with a grounded local guide for every destination, and a daily show hosted by someone who lives there.

The idea

Most travel advice is either a 900-page guidebook you will never finish, or a forum thread from 2017 arguing about which airport bus is cheapest. Neither is much use on the walk from your hotel to dinner.

So we built the opposite: one place to plan and book a whole trip, organised the way people actually think about going somewhere — by destination. Search flights, find a place to stay, sort a car or an airport transfer, and book the things worth doing, each backed by real, current local-currency prices rather than vague estimates.

Grounded, not generic

Our guides are built around real questions — which area to base yourself in, what a week genuinely costs, when the crowds arrive, how the transport actually works, what will quietly mark you out as a tourist. And not only the famous places: the quiet valley two hours from the capital, the market that only runs on Thursdays, the history nobody puts on a postcard. Prices are real and current, in the local currency, so you plan with context.

A local host for every destination

Alongside the booking tools and guides, every destination has its own daily audio show with a single recurring host rather than a rotating cast. A consistent voice builds context: hosts work through their country the way a resident would over a couple of years — settling in one area, learning it properly, then moving somewhere that connects to it. Seasons change, festivals arrive, places get revisited months later and feel different. It is meant to be followed, not dipped into.

How booking works

Paris2Tokyo is a search-and-compare front door, not the company that takes your payment. When you book, you complete the reservation with the airline, hotel, rental company or activity provider on their own site, and they handle the payment and any changes. Who is behind it

Paris2Tokyo was founded, and is run, by Ibnul Jaif Farabi — a solo founder. Every guide, every show, and the platform it all runs on comes out of that one desk.

That has an upside and a trade-off worth being open about. The upside is that there is no committee: if something is wrong it gets fixed the same week, and there is exactly one person to hold responsible. The trade-off is that covering the whole world is a great deal of ground for one person, which is why corrections from travelers genuinely matter. If you know a place better than we do — and for your own country you almost certainly do — tell us.
