What we use

Strictly necessary

WordPress sets functional cookies in a few situations — for example if you log in as an administrator, or leave a comment and ask the site to remember your details. These are required for the feature to work and are not used for tracking.

Analytics

Google Analytics (GA4) sets cookies to measure how the site is used — pages visited, rough location and how visitors move through the site — so we can improve it. The data is aggregated. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Microsoft Clarity sets cookies to build aggregated heatmaps and session replays of how visitors use the site, such as where they click, scroll and pause, so we can improve usability. It masks any text you type by default. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners set cookies and read device identifiers to serve, cap, measure and — where permitted — personalise ads. You can control this in Google Ad Settings and read more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. In regions that require it, personalised ads are only shown after consent.

Affiliate and measurement

When you click an outbound booking link to a partner — for example an airline, hotel, car-rental, transfer or activity provider — that partner or its affiliate network (such as Travelpayouts) may set a cookie so a resulting booking can be credited to us. This lets us earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and identifies the referral, not you by name.

Media playback

Your browser may store playback position or volume locally on your own device so the player behaves sensibly. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Third-party embeds

If we embed a player or map from a third-party platform, that platform may set its own cookies under its own policy once the embed loads.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and control ad personalisation through Google Ad Settings. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies will not affect your ability to browse or listen.
