Accessibility

We want Paris2Tokyo to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or magnification.

What we do

Every show page carries a full written country file — geography, climate, people, history, economy and transport — as real text, not an image or a download. Episode transcripts are delivered with the feed for podcast apps that support them.

The site is built to work with keyboard navigation, includes a skip-to-content link, uses semantic headings and landmarks, maintains visible focus indicators, respects your system’s reduced-motion and colour-scheme preferences, and is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA colour contrast.

Pages reflow to any screen width down to 320 pixels without horizontal scrolling, and text can be resized to 200% without loss of content or function.

Known limitations

Transcript support varies between podcast apps, and where an app does not support it there is currently no in-app text alternative. We intend to improve this.
